Sony - Bravia Theater Bar 8 (definitely a winner)

Good bar for TV and movies. Not good for music.

The rear speakers can be a bit much. Need to be adjusted down. Continually drops Airplay and Bluetooth connections, including to the app on your iPhone or iPad. Very frustrating. I went though all the install and troubleshooting steps. Tested it on multiple devices. Still encountered the issues. If you get your music through a streaming app on the TV like Amazon Music, this would be a solid option. If you stream music from your phone or iPad, look for something different.

Amazing but app could use some work

Connection Issues

Also it the wifi connection randomly disconnected; the user will need to unplug and reconnect the power cord in order to reestablish the wifi connection. Sony could definitely produce a better product with this price tag. Disappointed with the remote control and it's lack of features.

To enhance your music audio, we recommend using the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app to adjust two specific settings. First, ensure that [Sound Field] is turned on; this feature utilizes the bar's advanced processing to provide a more immersive surround sound effect with a greater sense of presence. Additionally, you can enable [DSEE Ultimate], which uses AI technology to accurately upscale compressed music files for a higher-fidelity listening experience.
Regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity, drops often occur due to signal interference or distance. For the most stable connection, we recommend placing the soundbar within 25 feet of your router. It is also helpful to keep other wireless electronics, such as cordless phones or additional Bluetooth devices, away from the soundbar to prevent signal disruption.
Lastly, we appreciate your feedback regarding the remote control. Because this unit offers a vast array of advanced settings and features, we designed the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app to be the most convenient and comprehensive way to manage the system. They sound ok out of the box but after tweaking few settings to support Dolby atmos and pairing it with a Sony subwoofer they sounded great. So, far I am enjoying this purchase.
