Downloading the App and setting up with my Sony Bravia 7 tv was quick and painless. The soundstage is very wide and detailed. It pairs very well with the SA-SW5 sub. A definite recommend especially if you have a Sony Bravia tv.

Not worth $10 - let alone $1000

I should have returned it when I had the chance. The remote is worthless. There is no display on this like most of its predecessors at this price point. They force you to use their Bravia app. It continuously disconnects from my bar/woofer and refuses to reconnect. Sad. Genuinely sad. The HT-S7000 still sounded better. Even without Atmos.

Sony a8000 soundbar and matching sub and rear spea

The sound is very good for the space i have it in. I'm very satisfied with the system. This wireless system allowed me to place my speakers more strategically.

Good bar for TV and movies. Not good for music.

The rear speakers can be a bit much. Need to be adjusted down. Continually drops Airplay and Bluetooth connections, including to the app on your iPhone or iPad. Very frustrating. I went though all the install and troubleshooting steps. Tested it on multiple devices. Still encountered the issues. If you get your music through a streaming app on the TV like Amazon Music, this would be a solid option. If you stream music from your phone or iPad, look for something different.

They sound ok out of the box but after tweaking few settings to support Dolby atmos and pairing it with a Sony subwoofer they sounded great. So, far I am enjoying this purchase.
