Sony soundbar for Bravia TV

The quality of the sound with the surround sound speakers makes a huge difference in viewing the show you are watching. The sound is like being in an I Max and I’m not kidding. Make sure you invest in this product. You won’t be disappointed and your friends will be amazed by it. My son in law is now going to purchase everything we purchased. He is so excited. He has been wanting to update his TV system. The wires show and he is not happy with that and wants a larger screen and better quality overall for his TV viewing.

Good soundbar no base at all

With all the speakers in it you would think it would have some kind of bass but it doesnt. Sound is great though for what it is just had to buy a $350 bass just to have some. Also gets 3 stars since i had to return a brand new one cause it didnt sync and best buy had to come out and check for themselves making me go 2 weeks without it. If its on a good deal buy it if not dont bother.

Posted .Hi Jeffrey, we are sorry to hear that your experience with the Sony - BRAVIA Theater Bar 8 has not been as you expected. We understand how frustrating it must've been as well having the first unit not able to sync. In regards to the bass, you do have the option to buy an additional subwoofer but the Soundbar itself comes with an integrated built-in quad woofer, and you can increase the bass level to your preference following some steps:
1- You can increase the bass by pushing the bass (+) button on the supplied remote
2- Set the Sound Field mode on, this will give you a surround sound with a sense of presence
3- If used with a TV you can go into the TV settings and look for a built-in equalizer, you can enhance the bass from there and make it more powerful on the Soundbar.

This sound bar is incredible! I didn’t think it would sound better but I was pleasantly surprised. Easily paired with my Sony Subwoofer and Sony TV, home theater experience is stellar!

Fantastic soundbar

Still want a sub, don’t get me wrong, but it stands out on its own. Worth the investment for a modular sound system I can build over time for my home theatre.

I have the model before this and wanted to try this one out. First you have to use the app for EVERYTHING....I haven't had any issues with it yet but I could definitely see this being a problem at some point. This set up was easy and connected to rear speakers and sub without an issue. They give you the option to connect to your TV speakers but I'd rather just use the soundbar speakers. The unit gets really loud and sounds good (not sure if it sounds better then last years model H700). It doesn't have an LCD like last years model, it just has a light on the front. If you have last years model don't worry it's not worth it to spend the extra money IMO

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a Theater Bar 8, without a sub or rears, but with the Center Sync of a Bravia 9. Overall I've been very happy with it, particularly for Atmos encoded content. The surround effects have been surprisingly good, although the height effects have been a little lacking. That could be due to my room, which has a vaulted ceiling that is 16 ft at its peak. It took me a while to get the settings dialed in just right. Out of the box it sounded a little thin. But when I got the sound field setup just right, it fills the room with sound without any problem. The only reasons I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars include: - It's not quite as good for listening to music, at least I have not yet figured out what the optimal settings are for that. - There don't seem to be that many options for further customization of the sound. If Sony's preset options don't work for you, you're pretty much out of luck.

Perfect companion for Bravia TV

I added the Theater Bar 8 and SW3 subwoofer. They sound fantastic and represent a very nice upgrade. I love how well integrated it is with the TV. I can control everything from the TV interface so it is easy for other family members to use ... they do not need to anything it just works. I am using the Acoustic Center channel feature so that the speakers of my A95L are handling the center. With Voice Zoom 3 dialog is crystal clear and voice appears to come from the screen which is exactly what I wanted. I wall mounted the soundbar using the included template. This was also very easy though it does not come with the screws. Setup using the Bravia Connect app was simple and it is nice having both the app as well as the TV interface to control the sound.
