The lower range and bass were just right as we don’t need a strong sound from a subwoofer. This soundbar sounded better when compared to LG and Samsung.

Fantastic Soundbar

Paired with some rear speakers and a sub and instantly improves the tv and movie watching experience. The sound is amazing when paired with a ps5 as well. Set up is easy with the Bravia app. Going to pair with a bravia tv next.

Near to professional sound to listen music.

I like the sony bravia 8 theater bar. Realy good sound. And there is additionel buttons +/- for Bass level. Problems with the android app Bravia 8 connect . Sometime cannot connect.

Crazy good sound just not reliable

Only 2 problems. One, the spatial audio calibration process only works about half the time, so anytime you move a speaker and go to recalibrate it on the app it doesn’t work. Then it will just randomly work again even though you did nothing different. Two, the sound drops every once in a while. Just for like 2 seconds but then the system like slowly turns back on and takes awhile for the sound to come out properly. Super annoying, if I pay about $3,000 for a home theater setup it should work perfectly. I did end up returning all items in my setup and am waiting on my wired 5.2.2 sony to arrive.

Decided to upgrade my A7000 to the Bravia Theater 9 since I have an A95L qdoled. The Bravia 9 bar does so much right with audio quality and how well it works with the rear speakers where with the a7000 I had to turn settings off and back on to get proper surround sound. Now movies and games are awesome, as is dialog. Overall good bar. Now the bad.. Taking out one of the 2 2.1 ports but increasing the price is an insult. I actually took advantage of that feature. Also having to use a phone app to see a menu and configure settings should be optional, not mandatory. And finally, bars cheaper or same price but with bettet quick come with the sub and rears where the Sony tax I get just a bar, granted I own the rear speakers and subwoofer already. Having said all that I am happy overall, and if money is no object to you get the whole setup, otherwise get a cheaper bar that's just as good

Needs a display

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There are new features, but the lack of a display is a big drawback because there's no way to know which features are enabled without referring to the app. It shuts down if you pause for very long - then the (Sony) TV's remote becomes inoperative until you use the soundbar's remote. It requires a lot of juggling of phone and two remotes that conflict. The equalizer function that existed with the previous HTA5000 is gone, so I'm not able to match my room. The sound is clean but lacks bass compared to the HTA5000 I replaced. The app gives better sound adjustment, almost as good as Audessey, and it works well with the Bravia Cam for time-alignment. I was hoping for more.
