However, when we brought it home and set it up for the instructions, we had to turn off the rear speakers in order to hear the voice. Think something must’ve been the matter with the sound bar, I told them when I returned it. They had a Samsung system on sale last year‘s model and we bought that and it works fantastic true theater sound in our own living room

It is typically easy to set-up, but in some cases the integration with a cable box can be complicated.

The sound is amazing. It takes a little while to get everything set up and optimized, but the overall 3d sound field sounds great.

Switching to Samsung now

While new it was inconsistent sometimes audio going out for 1-2 seconds once or twice a week. Now the tv doesn't pick it up nor do bluetooth devices like they used to. I wonder if Sony silently killed it with an update. Only works exclusively paired with the bravia app. Can't be used with a tv which is the reason it was purchased. New HDMI cables didn't help.

We also recognize your concern about the device working only with the Bravia app and not directly with the TV, which was your main reason for purchase.
