Very good soundbar

The bar by itself has impressive sound and was quite easy to set up. I am quite happy with this and I do still plan to add rear speakers and a subwoofer at a later time. You will need to install the app to run the setup but the setup is pretty straightforward.

Fantastic soundbar

An absolutely abysmal product

Nothing but constant issues from the getgo. I got distorting flatulance sound coming out of speaker and sw5 subwoofer, as well as cutouts on the rear rs5 speakers. I updated it to the latest firmware and even went through all the diagnostic steps which include resetting my router. I even tried it on another network and again, same issues. Sony pins the blame on my wireless network. However my network is top notch (verizon fios gigabit) with no issues with any other products, including my other soundbars from Samsung and Bose. Sound quality is mediocre at best. Surround effects and atmos bubble is decent. However, dialogue is absolute trash. Simply terrible and worse than some old cheap soundbars that I have used in the past. Bass is non existent and music quality is total garbage. If I could give this soundbar negative stars, I would.

Sony soundbar for Bravia TV

The quality of the sound with the surround sound speakers makes a huge difference in viewing the show you are watching. The sound is like being in an I Max and I’m not kidding. Make sure you invest in this product. You won’t be disappointed and your friends will be amazed by it. My son in law is now going to purchase everything we purchased. He is so excited. He has been wanting to update his TV system. The wires show and he is not happy with that and wants a larger screen and better quality overall for his TV viewing.

Connection Issues

Also it the wifi connection randomly disconnected; the user will need to unplug and reconnect the power cord in order to reestablish the wifi connection. Sony could definitely produce a better product with this price tag. Disappointed with the remote control and it's lack of features.

First, ensure that [Sound Field] is turned on; this feature utilizes the bar's advanced processing to provide a more immersive surround sound effect with a greater sense of presence. Additionally, you can enable [DSEE Ultimate], which uses AI technology to accurately upscale compressed music files for a higher-fidelity listening experience.
Regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity, drops often occur due to signal interference or distance. For the most stable connection, we recommend placing the soundbar within 25 feet of your router. It is also helpful to keep other wireless electronics, such as cordless phones or additional Bluetooth devices, away from the soundbar to prevent signal disruption.
Lastly, we appreciate your feedback regarding the remote control. We replaced the standard 7.2 system with this bar. The center speaker was mounted at the same height as the bar needed to be placed, and the rest of the speakers and subwoofer are gone, giving us a lot more space. The system sounds great.

Bravia Theater Bar 9 - No regrets!
