I used this recorder for class lectures. Worked great! I was worried it wouldn't catch from the mid back of the room, but it did. Good sound quality. It doesn't have to connect to a computer. Just record and listen on the device.

this has helped me in my position as secretary in my volunteer fire dept .

Perfect for taking notes during class when you don't have time to right them down. Also great for road trips to take down ideas when you can't right them down!!

If you’re looking to record memos or are looking for something with general use with voice recording, this product does all that.

The voice recorder is well built but quite small and difficult to manage when you might be busy with the other hand. Sound is acceptable and recording storage is above average. Reengaging the start button is cumbersome. In contrast to an old Sony with similar features but running on tape, this BX series would not be as user friendly.

Slick, small and a success. Was able to capture the voice of the public speaker who sat 7 feet away from me. Wished I bought this a long time ago.

Ease of use, surprised at price since so many phones have this capability but required by instructor so needed to purchase

I purchased this recorder to have during a real estate cram session. I was extremely easy to use. I left class went to beat buy, purchased & set it up in the Best Buy parking lot and was back in class in less than 15 minutes.

The Sony digital voice recorder is extremely simple to use. I bought it specifically to use for an interview that I had to record for a school assignment. I bought the voice recorder and was recording my interview 20 minutes later.

I purchased this to record lessons in college due to some instructures not wanting phones out during lectures. This thing is great. It picks up sounds very nicely and minimizes background sounds. In fact my BF got one as well.

My Olympus digital recorder needs an external speaker to get the proper volume but the range of volume with my Sony is always loud enough.

Recorder was great for my fiancé. She had voicemails from her sick father and wanted to back them up. She did so with the ease of use this recorder provided. That in turn gave her peace to save her dad’s voice.

Overall, it's pretty good. Simple and easy to use. If only I could transfer the recordings to my laptop.

This recording device is very helpful for those who are in school. I am able to record my lectures and review them at a later time. This has very simple features and they are easy to navigate. Also, this was worth it for the cost.

Expensive, but a good product for my use. I am happy with the recording + sound.
