They say it's not a low light camera but in my opinion it's actually really good in low light. I'd definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking to produce some great video footage.

Best Bang for your buck!

With industry leading autofocus, access to sony full frame and apsc glass with the e mount it makes it a great entry camera. It’s an all around great camera with superb image quality and 10bit color making it great to work with in post. It’s great if you’re just getting into film making or commercial/production work. This camera is one that is reliable however I do miss the EVF and mechanical shutter on this camera and it limits photography if that’s also something you’re interested in. My first camera had a problem where the shutter was failing and the camera kept turning off however I was able to replace it right away at Best Buy and get a brand new one at a discounted price since they were able to price match!

I have seen Reviews that say that they are not good for photos, but in reality they are. Although they are not so good in low light exposure, you can compensate for this with a lens with greater input and artificial light, then you give it a more low key look. in edition and it is spectacular. I recommend that you purchase certain accessories that will be very useful depending on what you are going to use it for.

A great investment for student film makers!

The dual ISO on this camera puts a new level of filming in low lighting and It has done wonders. Absolute Cinema... W Camera...

Everything is great, but struggles in low light

Low light performance makes me wish I bought fx3. Essentially, every lens you purchase will perform worse on this camera than full frame in low light/imperfect light situations

What's not great is Best Buy and their lies about free overnight delivery. I spoke with 5 customer "care" sales reps who guaranteed me the 1 day delivery. I recorded the calls. The camera arrived a full 48 hours after the time promissed on a Friday. The sales reps knew I needed it for a job on Saturday. I had to tell the production company at midnight on Friday that the camera did not arrive as promissed and I lost a 10,000 job because of the direct lies of Best Buy employess. I emailed legal general counsel in the corporate team. The weasel lawyer forwarded my email to a minion who said , "Well we dont actually gurantee our deliveries." Corporate greed!
