The shutter speed was not changing with the rear control dial. It would change with a smartphone. 2 of 2 expensive items I have purchased online from Bestbuy have had failures. I don’t know if it is bad luck or does Bestbuy sell damaged returns online, or is this a QA issue with Sony. Paid $1600.00 for a camera that I cannot use. It will 8 days to get to repair facility, 7 to 10 days to fix and then I assume 8 days to send back. That’s almost a month before I can use it. :( I expected better.

Not Worth the Money (1 star is too many)

I found this SONY RX10 IV to have obsolete features and not be of any value for a camera at this price point. Just a few major flaws.... --Cannot change the ISO when in auto or scene modes --Cannot change focus points when in auto or scene modes --Deleting photos is ridiculous for a camera in 2019--you have to delete one at a time or by date...no "delete all" =option! --Movies are "hidden" in a "secret" folder when you download them...had to waste time Googling to find out where they were. --You'll fill up your camera card in a few minutes because the camera takes too many photos every time (I guess it thinks the subject is moving), plus this WASTES precious time when sorting photos...I only need one photo, not 4-6! No, I didn't have it set to continuous or the mode to take numerous shots. --The final photo quality was good, but too many inconveniences for a camera at this price point. I returned it.

Once I did, I couldn't believe the quality of the photos. I travel a lot and like to photograph birds and this camera does a great job. Super pleased!
