It works great but it does wear out internally. I recommend the insurance in this case. The exchange is simpler and worth the $11

Kinda pricey but that's sony for ya! They made no changes to the PS2 controller on it except that they made the Joy Sticks on it move smoother and changed the R2 L2 style buttons, which makes me slip a lot when I play shooter games but racing games are fun with it. They also did not add any bulky battery that showed on the controller which adds to the nice style that they want to keep. Sadly, motion sensor sucks so don't even bother to pay attention to that, its nothing like a Wii. It has reachargable unreplacable batteries so thats a bad thing.

The biggest surprise of all was that the rumble works with PS 2 games in the PS 3 system. I am currently playing through "God of War", a game which had the rumble capability in PS 2. I thought that it was unlikely that I was going to get this feature with this new controller in the PS 3, but it worked perfectly. I know that having to buy a new controller and basically discard the one that came with the system is not the ideal situation, but I have to say this product is really worth shedding the extra bucks.

The addition of a vibration feature only makes the PS3 more competitive with other other rival consoles. This is an addition that should have been availble upon the PS3's market arrival. That being said, I love the vibration addition as I have a PS2 and was use to a vibrating controller. I bought my PS3 where a SIXAXIS controller was included with no vibration feature. This style of play took some getting use to. I was very releaved when the Dual Shock 3 was made available to consumers.The design of the controller is basically the same as the controllers from previous generations of playstations. The design is a good design and thus the few changes made to the Dual Shock 3. The vibration feature of the Dual Shock 3 works very well. My only gripe is that the vibrations could be a little stronger. I think there is some conservation of vibration to prevent quick depletion of the battery. I would recommend this controller to anyone.

I learned a long time ago to only buy the Sony controllers for Playstations. The price is comparable to the other console's controllers, which is kind of high IMO. I prefer the XBOX 360 layout and trigger controls, but can't get those to work on PS3.

Just a standard PS3 controller. The in-store pickup feature was fantastic. The product works fine, as advertised. I just wish it came with its own charging cord.

I just got this controller the other day and so far I LOVE IT! Its really great with GRID. In the game GRID you can feel the "shift shock" in your controller sometimes. The Rumble is great very responsive i cant see how i was able to play without it. plus its new! if you play your playstation as much as i do and your using the L2 & R2 buttons a lot if you compare your old SIXAXIS (non-dualshock) controller that came with your playstation to the new controller you can tell a difference in the L2 & R2 resistance. On my old controller the R2 was especially worn with little resistance to pull in. my new DUALSHOCK is more "spring loaded" because its a new controller, i personally like to have resistance in the "trigger buttons" so when you let off the gas in a game like Grid you know the "gas button" is returning fully or the brake. Best money ive spent in a long time for any game system.

Nothing beats proper function like the standard controller.

This is a great controller. I really like the dualshock 3 it goes well with Madden and Metal Gear Solid 4. The price is kind of high but I think in the end it's beneficial because you dont have to buy batteries all the time. Overall a great controller.

Its true that you get what you pay for, and I learned that the hard way by buying about 3 cheap controllers annually. The quality of this controller is great, and it looks like it'll last me a long time!

I have this controller that came with my PS3. I am glad it has the rumble feature, and it is especially nice to be able to turn the PS3 on and off with a button on the controller. I played on the PS2 for years with a wireless Pelican controller, but it never had the great feel and comfort of the Sony controller. The battery life is great. I play for hours at a time, and don't have to charge it very often. The only downside is that you have to have the PS3 on to charge it. I will be getting a wall charger to avoid this. I would like to buy another one so that while one is charging I can still pay without a cord hanging down in front of the TV (my PS3 is on top of my TV) while the controller is charging. The only thing that holds me back is the price. The best Sony controller so far.

Of course, it's great, it's from official Sony Company. Very comfortable and durable. We own over 6 of these with no issues.

I haven't opened this yet but I have another one open and am using it and it works just fine. I'm very comfortable with the PS3 controller since it isn't much different than the PS1 or PS2 controllers.

Mine Came With My PS3 So I'm Glad For That Ha ha, But If I Had The Regular SixAxis Controller And This Is Available? I Would Throw The SixAxis Away Because This Beautiful Thing Is The Exact Same-thing But Better. How Better? How About Bringing The Word Vibration Back To Mind? That's Right, Sensibility, Vibration, More Responsive Buttons, Analog Sticks Raised Just A Little For More Comfort,Let's Not Forget Blue-tooth, And No AA Battery Hassle Unlike Another Company's Choice.. [cough!xbox] Because no one likes having a bar drained within 2 hours of playing so come on. Dual Shock 3 Is Comfortable, Price May Not Be As Exciting As It's self But hey, It'll Make You Forget That You Even Have It In Your Hands And That's Guaranteed.

Excellent Product!!! Although, it is a bit expensive for a controller, it is really worth to buy. Incredible feeling when playing compatible games with the controller... Madden, GT5.... RECOMMENDED!!!

I am very satisfied that I purchased this product because of its sheek design and rumble. I also liked the SIXAXIS built-in motion sensing feature. Overall, this is a great product.

This is the best controller for the PS3. I have triend other brands such as "MAD CATZ" "LOGITECH" and others. The "SONY" brand is the perfect fit for the SONY PS3. It is not very cost eficient, and this is why some resort to the other brand names. I would definately recomment this controller because the others become annoying. Even though the price is hefty, the off brands tend to break easier and not function as well. Another great feature is that is carries an internal batterie and you no longer have to worry about changing batteries. Over-All I feel this is the best bang for your buck but the only downfall is the buck is a little high.

Great original ps3 remote, had dual shock 3 for extra feel for gaming... a little bit heavier than regular ps3 remote, but makes gaming a bit more realistic. I love this remote.
