Customers are saying
Customers commend the DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment's ease of use, the helpful addition of back buttons, and its reasonable price. Many appreciate the performance boost and customization options it offers, although some find the size and added bulk to be a drawback. A few users also noted that it may slightly decrease battery life and that installation can be a bit challenging.

Great addition to the DualShock 4.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have fairly big hands and also have Kontrol Freeks and Bionik Trigger attachments on my controller and it does sort of feel in the way. However, once you get used to it and for only $30 it beats spending $150 for a pro controller that most likely won’t last forever which also has some break-in time to get used to. I have an Astro C40 which was $200 but find myself trying to sell that one and stick to using my DualShock 4 again with all of my attachments instead.

An absolute must for every PS4 Gamer
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS IS A MUST. AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR ANY CASUAL/COMPETITIVE GAMER. Even if you are not super competitive I highly recommend buying the back button attachment. Online I read that this attachment ruins your microphone quality both in and out but I and my friends have never experienced this. I feel like my controller battery drains a little faster when I use the attachment but it does not matter because this little thing is absolutely amazing, I highly recommend everyone and anyone to get one as it makes gaming on the console so much easier by adding buttons on the back of your controller. It did take some getting used to (roughly 2 weeks) but since then, I have had no issues with it.

Make more!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While hard to get these days, this has been a boon to casual FPS players like myself. My COD skills have finally passed remedial into average! Way cheaper than investing in a pricey moddable controller and I'd wager more intuitive to assign functions to the paddles than some other brands I've had experience with. My one gripe is that they're hard to install if you have meat mallets for hands as the little 3.5mm jack and swinging connection seem VERY fragile. I urge caution when putting it on your controller; other than that this was an excellent purchase and have subsequently purchased one for my roommate (whose COD skill went from average to exemplary).

Awesome alternative to a new controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A new controller that has back buttons built in can cost upwards of 200 dollars. This alternative is only 30 dollars in addition to the PlayStation controller so total will cost you under 100 dollars. It works really well and is easy to program to any of the buttons or triggers. It did take a some getting used to with the little added bulk at the bottom of the controller but now I barely notice it. One downside is if you use a charging stand as I do you have to remove it every time to charge it and it’s not the easiest to reattach it sometimes. But that’s more of an inconvenience then it is a problem. All in all very happy with this purchase.

Great product. Wish there was a PS5 version
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never realized how much I cared about button remapping or back triggers until I started using this. Even if you can’t truly remap a games controls, this lets you do things like move R3/L3 to a a button instead of pressing in the analog sticks. I’ve found it useful in every type of game I’ve played, but they are especially great for FPS or 3rd person shooters where you might want to move aim/fire off of the R//L triggers. I wish they would have integrated something like this into the Dual Sense for PS5.

Well made and useful for some games
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you feel like your ring fingers could be more involved in gaming, this is for you! I use the back button with the Nier games. In combat sequences, when you’re thumbs are moving the characters and camera around, and fighting with the face buttons and shooting or blocking with the triggers, it can feel like a weird stretch of your fingers and fatigue. It takes a little getting used to but this gizmo helps alleviate that. For $20, it a good buy especially for certain games that require a variety of inputs that you don’t want to mix up.

Takes a little getting used to, but worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes a little getting used to, but once you get a few hours in with it you'll absolutely love having 2 extra buttons available without having to taking your thumbs off the joysticks. I bought this when is was on sale for $20 and liked it so much I bought 2 more as presents for a couple friends to try out. I would suggest dedicating a few hours to just practicing with them. Maybe start a new game that you don't intend to continue as you may accidentally tap the back button and make some in game mistakes that can't be undone. Totally worth it!

Takes getting used too
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way cheaper than a pro controller or some overpriced scuff. Took some adjustment for the bulk of the attachment but works great and you can't go wrong for the price

Competitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fun new add on piece for your playstation 4 controller. Attachment piece gives you access of 2 new buttons that can be remapped and works very well for those who are competitive in their gaming. Takes a little time to get comfortable with it but definitely feels right where the buttons are placed. I've used other controller adapters or even expensive modified controllers and this $30 attachment piece works just as good. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to look for a more affordable option instead of buying a whole new controller.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been someone to buy a scuf, astro, or elite controller for the paddles/buttons. This saved me hundreds of dollars. It works great gives you 3 presets you can change plus its so simple to change the paddles on the fly. So if you own a ps4 buy this yes it will make your controller heavier but its not that noticeable. Hopefully they make something similar for the ps5 but first I need to get my hands on a ps5 which is almost impossible at this point.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use and does what it is supposed to. It’s a little cramped for my hand size though. It’s also a little scary attaching it the first time.

Already quit working!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited when I saw PlayStation was coming out with this item. I used a strike pack before but always hated that it had to be wired. So when I saw this was wireless it peaked my interest. I used it for a few weeks and it worked well. Remapping was simple with the oled screen. I have large hands so DS4 controller are already small for me to use. Adding this item I felt that I had to put my hands in weird positioning to use the bottom buttons. So you may want to take that in mind if you have large hands. The bulk of it was a little weird to get used to, especially after playing with the strike pack. But alas...it wasn’t meant to be. You have take it off if you have a charging stand and I think the action of taking it off and putting it back on made it break because it’s no longer working. It just sits in my desk now. You may not have these issues if you leave it in and just use a regular mini usb into the front of the controller to charge it. I’m not gonna drag PlayStation for it, because they could have just came out with an elite controller, but chose the more budget friendly solution with the PS4 being towards the end of its life cycle. I would recommend the product, just remember to be careful when inserting or removing the device from you DS4.

Not a game changer, but ok.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a little tricky to install it because of the angle, but, once you figure it out, it is pretty easy. It's kind of a feel thing. I program the L3/R3 buttons to the back button. It works well, but feels like it drains the controller battery quicker than I thought it would. It's not awful, just, more noticeable than I thought it would be. Doesn't look like it will be compatible with next generation, which is too bad. Pushing in the sticks for L3/R3 has always felt weird to me.

PS4 Back Buttons Attachment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as advertised and easy to connect to the gamepad. It has a solid feeling to it and the buttons make an audible clicking sound when pressed. It takes getting used to as it does make the gamepad more clunky, but even with smaller hands I was able to easily implement it's features while gaming after a few hours of practice. I would recommend purchasing this item over buying a more expensive gamepad that comes with back buttons built in.

Outstanding
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great original attachment with easy to use profile up to 3 settings. So far comfortable on hands buttons feel good I wish they had come with this idea years ago. I would definitely recommend to buy especially If you are a causal gamer that does not need to spend $200 on a premium controller but want to experience some back buttons functionalities that expensive controllers primary offers.

Takes time to get used to, but once you do...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to play fortnite which requires so many actions. After plugging the attachment, holding the controller it felt very unnatural and it felt very uncomfortable. I couldnt do anything properly in the game, I would mess up both building and aiming so I went back to best buy to return it the next day. They said the store was closed earlier than normal today and I should come back tomorrow for a return, so I went back home thinking maybe this was God’s way of telling me that I should keep it. Next day I plug it in, change a couple binds, and try using the back buttons with my ring fingers-boom, all the sudden Im building and editing like faze sway. Moral of the story, if it doesnt feel natural in your hand just give it time and try different holding methods. Hundo p would recommend I cant even imagine playing fortnite without it now

The best control device to come along in years...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very handy device that enables you to program two buttons that you press with your index fingers. Personally, I programmed it to do the L3/R3 function because I don't like pressing down on those little joysticks. It makes FPS games and games where you use that function a LOT more fun! Just plug it into the headphone jack on your dualshock and you're good to go!

Great attachment
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this simple attachment! Gives your middle fingers some use while playing the PS4. Set both buttons to act in place of any other bottom/trigger on the controller. Yes you can still use the regular button as well. NO it does not give you “extra” action buttons. Has three different presets so you can easily swap presets to match different games/game styles instead of changing it every time you switch games
