I also bought the USB charge cable which works perfectly with it, particularly if you are not sitting far from the machine. Otherwise, the controller uses batteries (as usual) and works well if you want to sit further away. Recommended.

Solid controller

Unaware to me at some point Sony decided to update the PS4 controllers. The light bar now shows through top of the touch pad. Also the buttons are no longer black, they are a charcoal color to be more of an accent to the black rather than just be a jet black. The texture of the controller was redone as well, better grip in my opinion. Also the controller works on pc if you didn't know.

Great color, hard to get most places.

The only difference is when we first got the one 2 years ago, it worked with any headphones be it ps4 compatible or not, but the newer versions require the headsets to be ps4 compatible. The joysticks last a lot longer then the original black controller that comes with the ps4, and we haven't had any sticking issues.
