The kid's been using it for more than 2 years now and still works and looks great. Very minimal signs of wear. Cool design too. Also some advice: buy on black friday when it's like $40.

The controller feels high quality. Hopefully they can figure out how to make the light turn off to save battery life. However, the light does look pretty cool lol
