    The previous controllers for SONY consoles have always been lacking in the comfort department. Not as comfortable and rounded as the XBOX controllers, and not as weighted. The PS4 controllers have a nice weight to them and feel much more comfortable to hold. The only downside is the battery life leaves a little to be desired.

    My PS4 is still in very good condition and I probably wont be buying the PS5 for the foreseeable future, however the one item that recieves heavy use is the game controller so I thought this would be a good time to purchase a backup.

    The controller is exactly what you're looking for. Nothing special, nothing lacking. Although it probably should come with a charger, but you and everyone else on the planet have a micro USB cord from a cell phone from 2009 laying around which is sufficient.
