First time owning a metallic painted one but could already tell that the paint will come off. Curious if it has a gray undercoating as well though. The only thing I do not like is the new models have light shinning through the touch pad, according to Sony so you know what color is shown. The older controllers were bright enough even on low. Almost 95% of the games I play, the glow is always blue.

The joysticks are responsive and not mushy, the weight is light but doesn't feel plasticy or cheap. The buttons are responsive, and the clickable track pad is a great addition. There are lots of aftermarket controllers out there. Some are great, but most are junk. Stick with the Sony controller and you can't go wrong.
