Battery life is great, especially compared to some of my older controllers. The only reason I have 4 stars instead is 5, is that there are some sharp edges on the bumper buttons and seams. I've noticed that on several of the newer controllers that I've tried. Not terrible, but definitely obnoxious. Can be fairly easily fixed.

You have probably been seeing cheaper controllers online. I ordered one of the cheaper ones and it ended up being a knock off that didnt work well at all. I would definitely recommend spending a little more and getting the right controller.
