Good Price on a Sony Product

This is the 4th time I have purchased this player. Each is a newer version of the last, but all have had the same feaures (& remote).They always work great until one day it just won't load dvds any more. For the price, I'm happy with a couple of years of service.

My only issue is that there is really no display on the unit itself. I'm not looking for a VCR clock blinking 12:00 forever but it's difficult to tell if the unit is on or off or playing a disk. A little more info would help. Note that all of the functions will display on the tv screen.

Biggest draw back was the lack of an HDMI outlet. Using video cables is mostly a thing of the past to me. Other than that, the unit works well.
