Nice player. Picked it up for Mom to play CD's. Works easy for that. All you really need are the buttons on top of the unit. It's a pretty sturdy player for the price, and having the regular composite audio outputs is exactly what we needed. I would recommend this for music, but have no idea how well it works on DVD's.

I originally purchased the machine as a luxury. Now that I have it and am aware of its capabilities, I find that it is a necessity. I would not have believed that it can do what it does. The machine of course plays DVDs. However, what is miraculous is that it can return a disc to the precise spot where the viewer left off. In other machines, if you view a disc and then eject it, when you reinsert the disc, you will have to start from the beginning of the program. But not with this machine. Upon reinserting the disc, the machine will take up at the precise spot where you left off. This is truly amazing. Here is a caution: when you connect this machine to a TV, be sure to enter the "AV" mode. Otherwise, the images will come out in black and white.

This is a very basic DVD player. It is inexpensive but works very well

All I needed was a CD/DVD player to hook up to my Sony amplifier & speakers...... to provide good quality music in my Piano Room. This did it..... short, simple, it works. Could have gone cheaper, but my understanding is that it's best to stay with one brand.... my choice is Sony! Just like children....... all brands do not always play nicely together.
