Hopefully I will not need to purchase a third time :)

Replaced an older Sony player that lasted about 8 years. Much lighter and smaller than the old one; makes me wonder about its durability, but we'll see.

I understand that your DVP-SR210P is having issues turning off when not playing a disc. Please try turning off the DVD player, unplug it for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on again.
