    I purchased this for my 77 year old mother who professes to be "clueless" when it comes to electronics. It replaced a combo VHS-DVD player that had died. Since she doesn't watch VHS any more, this was a perfect replacement ~ very simple, nothing fancy ~ it'll play her old DVDs just fine.

    This is a purchase for my workplace. It's an average player. This will get a lot of use, so we wanted an inexpensive one that is easily replased. The quality is better than hoped for. As for durability, we will see.
