I got this for my grandparents to connect to their new smart TV and it was super easy to set up! Hopefully it has great picture! I love how small it is! They can play both their VHS tapes (on an old VCR) and DVD's (on this device).

I was looking for a replacement DVD-HD that was easy to use and had good reviews: all at a good price for my elderly mother. I am very pleased! New electronic equipment can be quite confusing to her, but she is able to use this new DVD successfully. The only thing that might be a problem for others--I knew to purchase an HDMI cable. Nowhere is this mentioned, so imagine the disappointment if you don't have this last piece of equipment when you go to set up!

Bought this DVD player for my elderly dad, who is not tech savvy, after his other one broke and he was able to set it up and use it without any help. Works great. He doesn’t have any blu-ray DVDs so this was perfect for him and a good price point too.

My old Samsung DVD player bit the dust and the disc drawer mechanism just stopped working. It was plastic and just wore out. The Sony is a quality unit and is so very easy to use. It's much smaller than the old one and I am very happy with my purchase.

I needed to replace an old one similar to this that just stop working with my rented DVD in it. Saw this one online, the price was EXCELLENT, so I got it. Setup was sweet and easy. No problems with it so far, so I would recommend this item.

If you are in the market for a good DVD player, this will fit the bill. It has a HDMI connection as well as composite/RCA connections. I still have a large number of DVDs and needed a good player that would up-scale the picrure.

Works like it should (just liked the first one I bought for our primary viewing area).

Purchased this Sony DVD for use in a spare room. Easy to set up. Has a remote control but it also has button controls located on the front top of the DVD that you just need to press. Nice backup in case you misplace the remote. I may purchase another for my bedroom.

My wife and I purchased the DVD player for her parents. They are getting up in age and needed a player that was easy to use. Well, this DVD player fit the bill. It was easy to install; Practically plug N' play. The remote is easy to use. We showed them how to operate it and the DVD player one time and off they went. Great device!

The Sony DVD player with HD Upconversion is easy to use and plays discs with great video and audio. It's priced very reasonably, and is a wonderful back-up to a Blu-ray player. Definitely a great value for the money!

Works fine. Nothing fancy but I didn’t need an expensive dvd player. Connected using RCA wires. Plays reg dvds and music dvds, not blue ray. Easy to operate. This one was an open box item.

It’s a dvd player. Plays dvds and does a good job of upscaling. Bought this for my RV and it works well in that capacity. Small and light. Which is good for an RV.

My grandparents' old DVD/VHS player went out on them right at the start of this year's holiday season. They only needed something to play DVDs (didn't need Blu Ray, etc.). After looking at a few options, we selected this - worked out great! Quick and easy set up, runs like it should. Easy to use.

I have been looking for a reasonably priced DVD player for quite sometime and finally found it at Best Buy.

I have owned this DVD player for less than 1 month, but so far it works perfectly. It was very easy to set up & use. I wanted to use it on an older TV & it did come with the yellow, white, red video & audio cables. It can be connected via an HDMI port also (cable not included)

his was an open box item, did not notice it didn't have a remote, luckly the old dvd player was the same brand. because it was open box i got it cheap. picture is a lot better than old one, this runs hdmi the old one was 5prong.
