Great DVD player. Was a gift for my mom so she can watch old family movies that were out on discs

This is an excellent DVD player. I had many self recorded and many VHS conversions, and this player works with all of them. It's compact and efficient.

Ended a new DVD player to go with the new receiver.

This is a replacement. My old one died after 10 years. I purchased the same model. For the money and quality I would buy again and again

My 7 year "old" DVD player got sick. When this "new" one arrived I realized it was the exact same model. I decided that this was kind of comforting - i.e. that SONY hadn't "replaced" it. How often is that true these days - that you can buy the exact same thing years later? So, this review is really of the "old" unit. It worked mostly fine until the servo that spins the disc started to get balky. It did not track DVDs as well as the drive in my computers. For the price, it's hard to complain.

I like this DVD player. My certain Cd that we're not working in my previous player are working nicely in this player. Great...wonderful....excellent player.
