It is a quality Sony product but for the money it should also support at least Blu-ray Discs. Nowhere on packaging does it state that it doesn’t

Good, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dvd player because I needed one with rca audio outputs in order to connect to my old Onkyo stereo system. I had previously attempted to use an optical to rca converter but it didn't work for me. The only problem with this unit and a 4k tv is it doesn't play my old self made dvds clear so I'm not sure if an up converting dvd player would help or not. Only problem is the new up converting dvd players only have optical audio outputs.
