    We haven't used the DVD player much, but so far it's worked fine. We don't have it plugged in with a hdmi cable.

    Finally got it connected. Wanted to use a HDMI to HDMI cable from the TV to the DVD player for a stronger picture. The cable that came with the DVD player would give a less clear picture. Haven't actually played anything on it yet. The AA batteries for the remote are some obscure unknown brand, but put them anyway.

    One of the things I really like about this unit is that it remembers where you left off on a DVD, even if you change DVDs. So as I go through and watch series like Law and Order or Monk, I can switch DVDs even if I haven't made it all the way through and it will remember where I left off.
