Easy to set up, Have had no issues. Plays DVD's in a crisp clear clean picture, and my TV in the garage is a basic Samsung 55" not a high perf or Smart TV . I got it to mostly watch my music DVD's while working on my model trains or cars. So for the price it was a perfect choice for me.

I was looking for a replacement DVD-HD that was easy to use and had good reviews: all at a good price for my elderly mother. I am very pleased! New electronic equipment can be quite confusing to her, but she is able to use this new DVD successfully. The only thing that might be a problem for others--I knew to purchase an HDMI cable. Nowhere is this mentioned, so imagine the disappointment if you don't have this last piece of equipment when you go to set up!

The Sony DVD is a very compact device, easy to set up and works fine. I was very happy with my current Sony DVD/VCR player but the connections (cables) were not very compatible with my Vizio TV. The cable connection was going to be costly with adapters and the picture was not going t be as good. I decided to try the Compact Sony with HDMI connection which was very easy to connect. The DVD player is good - I am not thrilled abut the tiny little buttons on the DVD player (although the remote works fine) and the DVD player is super light vs. the heavier larger model I had. I like the older equipment but it was time to make this all easy. The DVD player was on sale at the time which made the deal more attractive. Note: you have to purchase a separate HDMI cable, as it is not inclined in the package.

This is a good quality dvd player. Pictures are clear and crisp. It is easy to set up and to navigate. It does not read PAL formated dvd (I didn't know there was such a thing). So I will have to be careful when buying my dvd's now.

I just needed a basic DVD player to play movies and exercise tapes. This is the perfect purchase. It has nice picture quality and was so easy to install; especially for me, I am technically challenged. Great product for the price

I got this for my grandparents to connect to their new smart TV and it was super easy to set up! Hopefully it has great picture! I love how small it is! They can play both their VHS tapes (on an old VCR) and DVD's (on this device).

Bought this DVD player for my elderly dad, who is not tech savvy, after his other one broke and he was able to set it up and use it without any help. Works great. He doesn’t have any blu-ray DVDs so this was perfect for him and a good price point too.

My old Samsung DVD player bit the dust and the disc drawer mechanism just stopped working. It was plastic and just wore out. The Sony is a quality unit and is so very easy to use. It's much smaller than the old one and I am very happy with my purchase.

I needed to replace an old one similar to this that just stop working with my rented DVD in it. Saw this one online, the price was EXCELLENT, so I got it. Setup was sweet and easy. No problems with it so far, so I would recommend this item.

Purchased this Sony DVD for use in a spare room. Easy to set up. Has a remote control but it also has button controls located on the front top of the DVD that you just need to press. Nice backup in case you misplace the remote. I may purchase another for my bedroom.

If you are in the market for a good DVD player, this will fit the bill. It has a HDMI connection as well as composite/RCA connections. I still have a large number of DVDs and needed a good player that would up-scale the picrure.

My wife and I purchased the DVD player for her parents. They are getting up in age and needed a player that was easy to use. Well, this DVD player fit the bill. It was easy to install; Practically plug N' play. The remote is easy to use. We showed them how to operate it and the DVD player one time and off they went. Great device!

It's a little clunky and noisy, but it works. The upconversion is OK and it plays CD's. Works for my needs and the price was great for an open box.

My grandparents' old DVD/VHS player went out on them right at the start of this year's holiday season. They only needed something to play DVDs (didn't need Blu Ray, etc.). After looking at a few options, we selected this - worked out great! Quick and easy set up, runs like it should. Easy to use.
