Mainly use for CD Play and has worked Excellent up to this point. Nothing Fancy here, just straightforward performance. Price is Right and it's a Sony!

Makes reading captions a lot easier. Captions are a "must" now if you watch any of the popular "British accent" shows (ie Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, etc)

Just needed a new DVD player for all those dvds I got from library before covid closed them down. This one was about $50. I'll let you know next year if it's still going.

It is a quality Sony product but for the money it should also support at least Blu-ray Discs. Nowhere on packaging does it state that it doesn’t

So it seems that the resolution needed to be changed. After doing that, I was able to view movie. When I switch back to TV, need to shut off TV and turn back on again in order to view regular TV. So not sure if the issue is with the TV or the DVD player. But other than that, the unit works fine!
