Great DVD player for one who needs to play DVD's

FOR EXAMPLE: "HOME MADE" VIDEOS, LIKE A VIDEO MADE ON AN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP PROGRAM. MOST DVD PLAYERS USED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY DATA DISCS, BUT THE MANUFACTURERS ARE APPARENTLY DUMBING DOWN THEIR PRODUCT AS A COST SAVING MEASURE. (I RETURNED THIS PRODUCT FOR ANOTHER THAT FUNCTIONED PER MY NEEDS.)
