easy set up, my children can use it easily without needing help

This is my very first DVD Player and I am also not very tech savvy as I am 68 years old. Took me over 5 days to work up the courage to set it up. And it really was easy to do because the salesman at Best Buy was very patient and kind in explaining everything I needed to do. I also bought a HDMI cable instead of using the cable that comes with this player. The set up was really very easy and I also advise anyone else interested in purchasing this item or any DVD player to (1) keep the TV off while setting it up and (2) do NOT place the DVD player on top or under the cable box. That was really stressed to me to avoid any possible problems. The DVDs play beautifully and are in full color and the remote is easy to use. Great player especially for the price. Highly recommend.

Sony products used to be known for their high-quality. Clearly those days are long gone. Despite being a very well reviewed DVD player, this product is garbage. After driving to the store to pick it up, I got it home and the door to the DVD player won’t even open. It’s made of cheap plastic and the workmanship is horrible. I won’t be buying Sony products in the future.

OK for the money, but remote is near useless in finding anything.

OK. Should include a 4 ft. HDMI cable. I don't use the VGA cables.

I have only had the product for a few days so it is too soon to tell whether I will like it over the long run.

Probably great buy but not as easy to connect as I thought. Have to get someone to help me.

Description sounded good. Got it home, didn't work, stopped playing intermediately no matter the CD or DVD. The unit is very small and buttons on front edge, if it had worked, I wouldn't have liked that you have to push the buttons hard enough that the unit tips up in the back. Disappointed

This was a great purchase both for the money and value.

I've purchased a lot of these as upgrades at my church. The last one had to be returned it was DOA out of the box.

The first time I attempted to use this, it didn't work. Unfortunately, it was a couple of days too late to return. I will never buy a refurbished item from BB again.

Nice DVD player but wish there were operation buttons on device rather than only the remote control

I didn't use this very much, but it died before I had even had it a year. I bought another one. They are cheap enough that I consider them throw away players and will just keep replacing them.

It is exactly what we needed after our last DVD player stopped ejecting our movies! Glad they had a good brand at a reasonable price in stock the week of Christmas!

After just one month the DVD player just quit working. Best buy would not exchange it because of the 15 day policy. So far Sony is making all kinds of excuses to not exchange it also so their warranty is all but useless. Very disappointing.

Doesnt play in color, only black and white. I am not paying anyone to check it out. I dont care.

This dvd player is terrible. After about 4 uses, it needs to be restarted to watch the dvd. As time goes on, it is getting more problematic to view dvds on this player. DONT BUY THIS PLAYER. I see that I am unable to return it after 2/28. I will try anyway. I didn't realize that this was a open box item either.

Cheap low end DVD player with no streaming. It plays. so it is worth it.

I'm sorry I bought another Sony. They are a waste of money. I have had this dvd player for less than a month and it is already freezing and skipping while playing.
