You probably wouldn’t think much about getting a DVD player nowadays, right? I mean, they’ve been perfected for years, technology with them hasn’t changed and it’s easy to know what brands are worth it and vice versa, yeah? I thought the same thing for years, until I tried multiple DVD players by LG. I love LG products, just got a new TV from them and it’s great, but their DVD players are something to avoid. I only point this out because they come across as a great band and for the most part they are. The issue all my LG DVD players had was the same. Unless your DVD’s are unbelievably immaculate then it’s got a very high probability of skipping in their DVD players. Think your DVD’s are immaculate? I know mine are, yet their DVD players had me inspecting them for tiny fingerprints, light smudges or a hair on the disc as their DVD players practically begged for a movie to have some tiny little something on it that most will overlook at first. Do you get it yet? It’s annoying and just simply a pain!!! Meanwhile with Sony I never have this issue and the handful of used movies I got that aren’t quite perfect still play perfectly with no skipping issues. Why LG’s are so super sensitive IDK, but they are. I’ve even heard of the same basic issue being common on their $200-$300 4K bluray players! At this point in time Sony is probably the only brand of DVD player I can recommend to anyone. All others should be avoided like the plague.

I bought this to put in my RV bedroom as part of an overall upgrade for my previous TV. Small size fits perfectly and provides a really good picture.

Ordered online. Arrived promptly. Looks good and right size for available space.

It prints HDMI on the front of the DVD player, yet it came with tri-color cables! What's up with that? Luckily I bought a HDMI cable for about $7.00. Also, the little green light that comes on when you power up is so small you have to be within 3 feet to see it. Sony couldn't spend another .05 cents for it to be bigger!

This Sony DVD player is an excellent investment. The cost is low; however, the player provides outstanding high definition, rich color, and amazing sound.

Works great, easy to set up, is small and compact.

-- Easy to hook up with one power cord and one hdmi cord going to the t.v. Plays just fine in Blu Ray. Only mild complaint is the buttons on the top are hard to find to push down. --

for the price sony dvd is the best to watch all movies and tv shows.

Its hard to write a review on this product I've only had it for three weeks. I purchased the Sharp Blue Ray and had to bring it back. That's when i up graded to the Sony. Love it so far.

I highly recommend this DVD player. The sound and image quality are great. I was able to connect it to my Samsung smart T.V. easily with an HD cable. It is easy to operate with the remote control or manually.

Needed a new DVD player did not want to spend much money did some research read some reviews settled on this player ordered it on web site had it the next day so easy to hook up I only used it one time played my old DVD everything worked fine if any problems come up I will update review.

Needed to replace a VERY old DVD player and chose this based on reviews and price. Not interested in BluRay, so I wanted something simple. This was super easy to install. I've been using it for about six months, and there have been no problems. Does exactly what it's supposed to do when it's supposed to do it.

I am more than happy with this DVD player! I'm using the HDMI connection and the picture is very crisp and crystal clear. I'm also using an Insignia soundbar with my digital TV and the sound is comparable to the theater, seriously!! You have the choice of audio output with this DVD player and I have it on Dolby 5.0
