I bought this DVD Player to play CD's, but also wanted it to play old recorded DVD's that I have. I chose that one because of its HDMI output. Picture quality is indeed good maybe better than others, but, it would not play DVD's that were recorded in other zones (didn't even know that was still a restriction). For my purposes it was partially useless and I returned the item. I bought an LG instead that only has analog outputs but I'm super happy with it, it plays anything and is cheaper. For reference - LG-DP132.

So far this is a great dvd/cd player for the price! It sounds real good! It is little so it will fit anywhere that fits your needs.

Using HDMI connection, the picture reproduction is great. Great value.

This is a problem solver for my 86 year old father. Of course his combo DVD VHS machine would not work with the new TV he purchased. Fortunately I was able to talk him out of his tapes and set him up with this unit. I was willing to spend more if needed but this machine did the trick, Upconverted his old DVDs and made them look good on the big screen. Thanks!
