We chose Sony because of our very positive experience with Sony products over the years. The only thing I would remark on is that the pilot light is rather dim for normal room light levels. In conjunction with the slight delay in responding to the power switch, we wondered for a few moments whether the unit was working. Once you know what to expect, there is no problem at all.

Nothing fancy, but it does the job, which is exactly what I wanted. I hooked mine up to my TV with an HDMi cable, and I get a great picture and sound. Can't beat the price!
