    My previous DVD player was NOT a Sony. It started having issues after a month. This one is better quality and is still working fine for a few dollars more.

    Exactly what I needed. Wanted a small format DVD player so I could watch DVDs on the TV, which was being used as a 40" monitor, while I worked on my computer.

    Simple but quality! We still have numerous DVDs but out new TV (technology) was enhanced and our “old” DVD play was no longer compatible. Did not want to throw out of our DVDs so we went looking for a low-end but dependable and quality player. We are very pleased with this machines performance.
