Every dvd player i have seen they were not good. But this one is great so far.

Purchased one for my mother last year. The fruit fly outlived this device. Went to shop to buy another one to replace the dud and must have had a brain freeze and wound up buying same exact unit due to its price and promised image quality. The unit works well. This second unit is still working, but then its only been a few months so far.. we'll see. It works well, no sticking draw, no loading issues, no freeze on image. Can't tell if it delivers image quality it promises, but that's a great selling point for suckers like me who should know better. I'm just glad it was within the margin of human error and I won't be judged when passing through the pearly gates about my purchased decisions. Because of the first one dying within one year or so I can't recommend this one until my mom has owned it for two or more years without issue. My personal feeling is this is probably not much better than others in its price range. How many people watch DVD's anymore anyway - just my mom? It's going to be like the cassette tape player or phonograph as more people are live streaming and using memory sticks, but I digress :)

A basic DVD but, with a moderate HDMI cable, it's providing a quality picture and sound. Pleased,

Price point isn't bad for the product. It pairs well with the Sony TV and sound bar.

If you're looking for a machine that just plays DVDs, you've found it! Nothing fancy, but works well.
