This player is very easy to use. Simple set up and a good value for the price.

Plugged it in to the wall and then into the new Sony TV with a HDMI cable (not included), put in a DVD of an old movie, pressed play with the remote and was watching the movie within 10 minutes! I'm always afraid when I start new add ons that I'll get some weird error message and then have to spend 2 hours on the phone. I have found that it's important that the play side of the DVD be very clean. With one film, I was getting messages on the screen that the sound output wasn't working properly. Stopped the film, cleaned the disc and then all was well. I've used it 4 times and am really happy with it. The only minor downside is that the buttons on the player itself are flimsy, but the remote works really well.

It's just a basic DVD Player, which is exactly what I wanted. It was easy to set up, easy to use and works great. The price was great too. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Purchased this DVD player after discusing it with a sales person. I was wanting a player that would play both play both DVD and Blue Ray. He handed me the box saying it would work on both.When checking out I again saked the clerk if it played borh DVD and Blue Ray. he assured me it did. Got it home and read the installation instruction. It stated DVD only not Blue Ray. Went to Amazon and bought a Blue Ray/DVD player

Easy to set up, great picture and functions easily. I'm tech challenged, so ease is always appreciated when I don't have to battle a lot of hook up directions. Best Buy people helpful in explaining everything. Very pleased. Use for my DVDs for continued ed classes and general entertainment.

I bought the Sony SR510H DVD player mainly to play the movies recorded on DVD-Rs. I had to return a DVD player of another brand because it couldn’t play DVD-R. The Sony plays DVD-Rs without any problem. My wife has been using it on a daily basis for her exercise videos. The Sony player is compatible with the HD TVs as well as old fashioned TVs. a composite cable is included in the box for this purpose. HDMI cable is not included. it is easy to setup and plays straight out of the box Overall, the DVD player satisfies our needs.

I needed a cheap DVD player for a kids room. This one was an excellent price. I was very surprised at how good the quality was because the price was so low. Would definitely recommend for a kids room.

Bought this as a replacement as our previous DVD Player no longer works. This DVD player was easy to set up and easy to use.

Product is compact — black color works well with our other components. Video looks fine on 4K tv via HDMI. Buttons on device must be pressed VERY firmly and start up seems slow. Purchase and safe pickup at Best Buy was fast as usual.

This is a great DVD player if you're looking for something simple. It wasn't difficult to set up either. Also, when you stop a DVD and take it out of the player, when you go to play the DVD again it will pick up from where you left off. Great product!

Super easy to use and set-up. Best part is that we turned off and when we turned back on it asked if we wanted to resume where we left off.

This is my 2nd purchase of this item. I previously bought 2 for 2 different rooms and the living room one has been acting up for a while perhaps it was defective to begin with I bought a new 1 and so far it's working fine the previous 1 the DVD's would just freeze up. It wasn't the DVD's I cleaned them I played them in the other one it worked out fine. Anyway so far so good let's see the longevity I'm not sure how long it is for but simple to use simple to hook up H DMI hook up.
