I always got a static shock when I went to open the DVD drawer so I suspect that killed the IR receiver on the unit. Sony is going to replace the unit but given the short time this one lasted I don't know if it will be a good unit for the long run. We'll see...

Power button on top is a design flaw

Makes a lot of noise

Posted .Hello Little3433, thank you for your message. To troubleshoot your unit, replace the cable you are using to hook up to your TV. Also try to perform a power reset by unplugging it from the AC outlet for 1 minute and plug it back in directly to another jack into your TV. Best regards, Oscar.

We don't watch movies often so a couple weeks later we tried using it again and it doesn't work now. The return policy is 14 days which was over by the time we tried it a 2nd time.

We will probably never use it. We're not sure why you would even sell this product considering that it seems most DVD'S now sold are blue Ray's. We'd suggest that you remove it from your shelves before someone else mistakes it.
