What is great about this player is the picture quality is excellent. Everything sony is famous for a picture as close to a bluray picture as you can get. What not so good is the fact that there is no display screen on the front of the player and the only way to see it is to go into the menu on the dvd remote. Also my toshiba smart connected to my sony LED thru the HDMI connection and allowed me to use my tv remote to control the dvd player as well as turning the tv on when I turn the dvd player on first. I thought sony would at least have this feature especially since it is a sony product connecting to another sony product but sadly no.

We're sorry to hear about this. To fix this type of issue, Try to reset the unit. unplug the unit from the power outlet for about 1 minute then plug it back in. Try to play other DVDs as well if you can to see if it only happens to a certain disc. Hope it helps! Regards, Sam

I could not believe how HD-like the picture is, but what really amazed me was the fact that the picture now occupies the full screen, not just the center part as was the case with my old Sony DVD/VCR combo. I've been using the player for four days now and have found nothing not to love. I've recommended it to several friends and family members, two of whom have already ordered one. NB: It is necessary to also buy the HDMI cable.

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your new DVD player. Please check the connection of the player to the TV, make sure the cable is connected securely to both ends. Try playing several different discs to see if the issue is with the discs of the player. The disc should be free from dust, dirt or scratches.
