good fit for what i needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.had it only short time: easy to set up, so far worked wo probs, cheap enough, (and i expect common remotes w other sony products but havent tested that yet). wanted an upconverting dvd player (apparently copy protection now prohibits upconverting through any connection except hdmi) so that i won't have to put wear n tear on my blu-ray player watching dvds. as all mechanical disc drives freq fail - no point in spending a lot. bought the BDP-S3500 at the same time. it's also working flawlessly. wifi no problem on it, but maybe bc i have no security encryption (i live waaay far away from neighbors)
