Can be installed on older TVs with standard video cables (included) or on HD TVs with a HDMI cable (included). I have found that this unit will also play double layer DVDs.

Best Buy gave me a great price at that. Can't go wrong with this mid range model.

It was very easy to hook up and Best Buy as usual offered very good customer service and important information.

Easy setup, working within 7 minutes. HDMI Cable not included, but no hassle to get one. Great for watching those old movie DVDs and photo CDs you just can’t give up. Watched Miracle first, 1980 Hockey Olympic Gold Medal movie, very nostalgic. Glad I can watch the oldies just by popping in the disc. Very Happy with purchase.

This unit connected right up and was ready to go right out of the box. Unfortunately there is not a display on the unit itself.

I AM SURE THIS ONE WOULD HAVE AS WELL. BUT! SINCE HAVE HAD NO WAY TO GET TO THE POST OFFICE TO MAI.L THE DVD PLAYER BACK TO BEST BUY BEFORE ABOUT AUGUST THE 18, OF OTHER RETAILORS ABOUT 2 DAYS LATE GIVEN THE USUAL 30 DAY RETURN POLICY . I CALLED BB AND FOUND OUT THAT THE RETURN TIME WAS 15 DAYS AT BB! KENNETH PRIEM

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After doing some rudimentary research on 4K BluRay players, I settled on this Sony since it would complement my Sony 4K TV and the price was very reasonable. It's been great so far - even standard BluRay movies look fantastic (not sure if the disc player or the TV is doing the upconverting tho). The TV apps built in work fine, but are redundant, since they're all built into the TV as well. Can you even buy a non-smart TV anymore? All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. The unit looks good, is easy to use and is substatially heavy - always a plus with home audio/video gear.
