I got this basic DVD player for my son and he loves it's reliable and it plays all formats of his DVDs. Is very inexpensive and easy to use and set up.

This is a small light weight dvd player. Very basic but if you just want one to play your dvds this does the trick. It does remember where you are if you stop in the middle of a track so that is one I really like.

Looking for a small component player that had HDMI out so that it could connect to our new TV. Many of the newer TV's don't have analog inputs anymore, so needed one with this capability. I can't comment on the "upscaling" ability vs other players, but can say that I"m happy with the picture this produces on the TV coming from DVD's that are 20+ years old. It's small, sleek frame takes up about the same footprint as the cable box, so it stacks up nicely. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again if needed to.

Great DVD player for the price. No issues at all and plays the DVD where you stopped it even when you turn off the player and the tv which is a nice feature.

Was looking for something inexpensive that worked well and looked good in my room. Exceded expectations!

My father-in-law needed a simply DVD player to replace a no-name player that stopped working. This Sony is as simple and straight forward as it gets. I plugged in the HDMI, turned on the TV, and was playing a DVD in seconds. The machine is fast, and everything worked as expected. The controller is small, but the buttons are nicely laid out. Overall, if you need a simply DVD player, then trust this Sony player.

This is my third Sony DVD player, I like the quality and it plays CDs and DVDs. It has the HDMI cable very clear great product.

I needed just a simple and basic DVD player for my Netflix movies ( I'm old-school ). This fit the bill. Small, simple, no bells and whistles. Just what I wanted.

If you're looking for a Quality Brand Name .... Simple (non-blu-ray) DVD Player for a Economy Price..... That will play most Discs you throw in it .... from movies to self-recorded Dvd's .... This will fit the bill quite nicely!

This DVD player has both composite video and hdmi video outputs to be able to connect to both CRT and HDTV TVs. Good product and features for the price.
