My wife, who baby sits our granddaughter relies on toddler/kids TV shows for some quiet time. And our granddaughter has her favorite shows. So, popping in a DVD is a fine way to augment the choices available on cable TV. All we needed to do was unbox the unit, plug in our HDMI cable from the TV, select that port on the TV and we were all set. All my parameters and those of my wife are satisfied by this unit.

I like the RCA connections as well as the HDMI connection. Great little DVD player--I had streaming players and didn't need another one so this is just fine for watching DVDs or listening to CDs. It arrived days before the Best Buy predicted arrival date so good service as usual.
