Make sure you have electricity before buying. You put a dvd in it, and then it plays There is even a remote control so you can do it while sitting on a couch, chair, or futon. Very cutting edge. It works. It does what you would expect. Did not explode upon plugging in, nor crumble as removed from the box. On a scale of plays dvds to does not play dvds I give it a rating of yes, it plays dvds.

Good basic DVD player

Bought this to play them when we get bored when we are camping and without TV, cell phone, or internet reception, which actually happens more often than one might think, it works great. Good value. Fits perfectly on the shelf beneath the TV.

The unpackaging and setup was easy and quickly completed. I use it with a Samsung TV for both video DVD and audio CD playback. The instructions provided for set- up and use are limited but proved to be adequate.
