I haven't used it much yet but what I have experienced is a good picture and helpful instructions.

Basic and economical , exactly what we were looking for since we don’t use a DVD player very often anymore.

Purchased new TV that required an HDMI connector. My old DVD player didn't have an HDMI connector, so I purchased this newer, very similar model with the necessary connector. I was concerned that the newer DVD player might not play my 20-30 year old self-made DVDs, but it worked beautifully and played all my old DVDs without problems.

So far so good. Easy to install. Very nice picture. Does not have an HDMI connection included.

This is a good DVD player. It is a little more expense than some of the other DVD players, but I purchased it because of the Sony name. I purchased an HDMI cable to attach it to my TV since the unit doesn't include a HDMI cable. It has all the features you would expect. I am using it for running my exercise video. The problem I have is that it restarts the video at where I left off (this is a feature for playing movies.) I always want to start at the beginning - so I have to rewind to the beginning. The other problem is the manual. The manual only gives the names of the buttons on the remote. For the most part, you can understand what the button does, but not always. It is more trial-and-error.

My Onkyo amplifier quit working and as is the norm right now for choices I had only two in my price range so I got the Sony. Attaching all of the wires was very easy, although I may have one in the wrong place. The programing with the remote is the difficult part. After using it for awhile I am considering either starting it all over or calling out the Geek Squad because a few things still don't work the way I would like. Maybe that is the way it is designed but every time I turn on the TV I have to chose what I am going to do and it asks twice. I can't watch TV, turn it off to answer my phone and then turn it back on without having to go back through answering I the questions again. That is a pain.

Small and compact DVD player at a very reasonable price.

Excellent substitute for the home theater system. Uses the TV sound system so no need for multiple speakers.

I needed a DVD player to watch something but the DVD player we have are old and I guess if you don’t use them they stop working. I decided to go to Best Buy because I can get a great price and good quality. It works great, it was easy to install. I got a good price.

Bought this to replace a 15 year old DVD player that was no longer reading certain discs. Excellent price, easy HDMI hookup and upscaling to 1080p. Only complaints are minor -- You need to push the buttons pretty hard for them to work and the remote is light, cheap plastic. That said, for the money, it's hard to complain.

Worked fine out of the box. My only wish for more from this product is: 1. The on-off light is so small that I have to look twice to make sure that it is turned off when I have finished a DVD., 2. I wish that there was a digital display that showed how many minutes I had watched when I stopped or paused the unit.
