The power zoom is ultra smooth and goes very slow when you need it, or ultra fast. I rarely take this lens off. Highly recommended for video

I bought it for a recent trip to Hawaii, and used it for just about everything. When taking photos at 18mm the corners become soft and lightly distorted, but can be mostly corrected in Lightroom. Colors and sharpness are much better than the stock kit lenses, I would recommend this over the kit pancake and zoom lenses.

My camera came with two lenses, Now I can just carry this one and it covers almost all picture needs. Love it.

Kit lens replacement

The focal length range on this lens affords me some wideness and telephoto abilities not available with the kit lens. Perfect replacement with awesome image quality.

Great all purpose lens for travel
