It is great as a wide angle as well as a medium telephoto lens with very good clarity, stabilization and when zooming does not extend the lens size. I own 2 of these for an A6300 and A6500 for go to travel lenses. I use other specialty lenses as well but always go to the 18-105 for single lens applications.
