Bought this for the ability to have a low enough F stop to shoot indoors for video production on the Sony 6500. Does not disappoint! Must have for any camera kit.

Impeccable camera lens, extremely useful in all scenarios requiring telephoto. The motor zoom feature allows consistent zooming at preferable speeds to make sure your shot is perfect! I highly recommend this E-Mount lens.

I love this lens. I use it to shoot weddings and other events where I can’t be close to my subjects. It is not the sharpest lens in my kit but if I only could have one I’d pick this one because it is the ultimate walk around lens. Capture close subjects and landscapes also portraits zoomed in it has good bokeh at around 50-105. Also a great gimbal lens because of power zoom. (Power zoom lets the lens zoom without changing the size of the lens, most zoom lens extend out while zooming in

Great lens for Alpha A6000 camera

I has a Sony Alpha 6000 camera and need a good lens to take photo and video for some Martial Arts performances. Most of them are in theaters where light could be dim and I could not come to close to the stage. I found that this lens was the best fit. What I like: Good focal range Good aperture of F4 Light but sturdy. We once dropped the lens with the camera from second floor to the ground floor in a Kung fu school. The hood distorted but the lens is still good.

My first G Lens, I used to cover video for an event. Fast focus, the only lens you'll need when shooting video.. Can do both wide and tight and fast focus after matching with Sony A6400

Not sure why I waited so long to get this lens. Love how it focuses and expands without changing the shape of the lens. My sweet spot on the lens is 80mm, and I love it being a constant f/4. Great purchase for the price.

This lens takes good pictures. Nice and sharp. I wish it was a little faster, but I'm sure it would have been much larger if it was so I understand why it is f4. It still is a large lens for such a small camera though.

I was stuck between the 18-135mm and this lens. After testing both out, I ended up keeping the 18-135mm lens, but not because of any fault in this lens. I decided on the 18-135mm due to the manual zoom vs the power zoom on this one. If you're going to be shooting videos at all, GET THIS LENS. The power zoom with the fixed aperture will give you better results vs a manual zoom while shooting video. I mainly take portraits with no real video recording done, and that's basically what my decision came down to.

Researched this compared to the Zeiss 16-70mm F4. Bought this mostly due to the price and the power zoom, but it is better than I expected. If you don't want to spend as much on the Zeiss, would recommend this lens.

Very sharp lens for the money, great flexabilty from having a wide angle and a portrait lens in one. Only reason i cant give five stars is because of focus by wire. Very touchy making manual focus hard
