I bought the lens knowing it was heavy. But not too heavy. It's big and bulky for the Sony a7. I bought it for a varied focal length for when I have my little girl in tow. And it's suitable. The AF I find slow. Sometimes too slow. I have gotten some really sharp images with it. So it does what it needs too.

Great for everyday shooting, especially its zoom range is very useful; from 24mm wide angle to 240mm tele. Image quality is also very respectable for all-in-one lens. Only downside is its size and weight.

Had I taken another week to really dig into my needs, I may have gone with a slightly different lens for my first upgrade. I really wanted a telephoto for sports and candids, but the 3.5-6.3 range is not great for portraits, more journalistic looking. It is still a great all-around lens, and it takes clear and sharp pictures. You get a little bend on the edges when zoomed in tight, but it's okay

Great focal length coverage. Lens is a bit slow and can hunt for focus in darker settings. Good image quality

I got the lens for Christmas. I had been looking at this one and the 70-200 and decided I wanted the range of focal length. I will primarily be using the lens outside so I'm not concerned about it not being as fast as an f4 or f2.8 lens would be. The pictures taken so far have been perfect! I have used it on both the A7iii and the A6000.

This lens is great if you want only one lens to take with you. For such a large zoom range it provides a great range of views from wide to telescopic. The only real problem with this lens is its weight. But if you carry two lenses more than likely both of them would weight even more. It takes excellent photos.

This lens has excellent clarity, is built like a tank, and covers such a huge range of zoom that it is THE lens Id recommend if you have a Sony FE camera, if you need just one lens. Cant go wrong. Be aware: it weighs 7-8 lbs, but is well balanced.

10X zoom range allows perfect framing of shots. Versatile and perfect for out door landscape use. I don't like to change lens out in the field and this one does it all. On the heavier side, but overall my a7rii and this lens are still smaller than my Nikon 610.

This is a great lens - I'm still an amateur photographer, and this is the best lens I've purchased to date. It is easy to use, covers a wide range of focal lengths, and can be used for every range. I look forward to improving my ability to make use of its full potential.

I love this lens because of it zoom levels from 24~240. It's a one stop shop lens which someone needs to carry rather than carrying multiple lenses. The pictures turned out great and I am happy with it. It's little bit expensive but the expense is justified by it's 24~240 zoom

This lense does what my other 2 kit lenses do without having to change them up at every diffrent location its a little heavy but your overall load is compressed into just the camera and one lense so its all good. The only reason for 4 stars is its a little pricey

Great lens. Works on both my Sony A7Riii and Sony A3000. It is heavy though. Pictures look great. It does not work well for macro shots.

This lens is sharp all the way through. Great lens to have in your bag of tricks. Ideal for travel or when on the run and can’t carry a lot of gear with you.

This is an excellent lens. It is kind of pricey but you won't be disappointed with the quality of the lens and the range it provides.

A little slow to focus in darker conditions- but excellent and sharp. Great focal length if you want to carry only one lens

Very nice images and a great focal range the only very slight issue is that it is sort of heavy but its worth it due to the fact that you only really need one lense now

Great lens for all around. Find I don't have to change lenses as often with the 24-240 range. Does make a heavier carry. Pictures sharp and good quality

Took pictures at a birthday party in low light. Everything came out great. Only minor issue. Lens is quite heavy.
