Overall, a very practical and useful lense.

For travel, a practical lense to use which eliminates carrying other lenses such as a wide angle or telephoto unless extreme focal lengths are required. A bit slow as expected necessitating a tripod in low light conditions. Overall performance quality good to very good

Something keeps flaking off in the lens.

When I zoom in on something there is an artifact on the edge of my pictures. After the cleaning/repair it looks good for a few months but the artifact keeps returning. I’ll be returning it to the store this week for a refund or replacement. I could understand if I clanged the lens often, but I rarely use another lens and when I switch out, I try and do it in as clean an environment as possible. I generally like the lens other than that.

Excellent versatile lens!

It does not excell in any one category as maybe its G-Master brothers do, but at the price, and the focal range it has, it is an amazing lens to pick up if you can only take one lens on a trip or travels. It can be a bit soft around the edges, and to some can seem a bit slow, but in daylight, it performs wonderfully and I had no problems with it whatsoever.

Good lens for the money.

Was able to get wide shots and zoom into characters faces during the parades. Overall very pleased with the lens.
