A great lens for the price, I was looking for a cheap 50mm as an extra lens. I used it couple of times and I got a lot of compliments on the results.

So far, my experience with this lens has mainly been positive. I have taken good photographs with it (even at higher ISOs), and it is light and portable. My only issue with this lens would be its accuracy when it comes to auto focusing. It could just be me (I am accustomed to focusing manually.), but the lens does not always handle auto focusing well when using an aperture at or around f/2.8. In my initial purchase of the Sony a6000, I was only going to use it's stock lens, but after experimenting with this portrait lens, it definitely gave me what i was looking for. The quality of shots along with the blurry background effect was exactly what my wife and I loved. This lens does that for you. Unfortunately it does not have zoom capabilities but reaches pretty good distance.

Sharp images, lightweight. The only problem I found on thi lens is that is kinda noisy when using auto focus

Awesome lens for the price. The 1.8 aperture is perfect for super sharp photos and at such an affordable price it’s impossible to pass up. Use this in almost every portrait setting as well as low light

I needed a new lease for some night sky pictures but I started using it around town and it’s great for low light pictures and steeet photography I recommend it.

I needed a potrait lens and the 80mm designed for the aps-c is not cost effective . This lens is designed for the full sensor cameras but works wonders with the aps-c family. The conversion from full chip to aps-c is 1.5. So this 50mm is now a 75mm. Close enough to the 80mm

The f1.8 is awsome at blurring background and for shooting in low light. It’s inexpinsive and great for very low DOF shots. Fast auto focus.

I- I’m blown away by this. Sony sells a 50mm 1.2 but it’s 1000+, and while I’m sure the 1.2 is nice, 1.8 as a professional is perfect just because of the price difference. It’s build a little cheaper, but not bad it will not break easy or scratch or anything just some kind of plastic but I would 10/10 recommended

I know nothing about cameras, but I do know that if you are going to get a lens you should get this one. It has enhanced my photos so much

Lens is great i shoot with a 40mm manual voighlander and wanted some good sony autofocus on my a7r4 and this lens does not disappoint plus the low light is great. If youre on the fence about the lens dont hesitate just grab it.

Hands down my best purchase for an everyday photographer. I fell in love with my pictures after taking them with this. Would recommend 100% as a first add on to your camera.

Great for the price. Chromatic aberration can be very present - especially in low light - but can always fix in post. Auto-focus is not great, even at a high aperture. Would recommend using as a manual lens if there’s a lot of movement or low light. Auto focus can be good in the day time with minimal distractions

As a beginner this is a great entry level lens. I use this to take shot of products. This is an inexpensive way to see what a difference switching lenses actually does. Also if later you decide to buy a more expensive 50mm, this will make you appreciate the new one and why you spending more money.

This lens is a great value, but it's one of the most simple 50mm lenses you can get today. Autofocus is slow, for a prime, it's not sharp at all, and the colors are a bit odd at times. That said, for the price, it represents a amazing value and it's a totally useable lens. I bought this because it was $100 off with a camera I ordered and resold it at a profit after reviewing it on my website, but for someone on an extreme budget, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Just don't expect it to be a stellar performer in any way.
