This isn’t the BEST 50mm lens I have ever tried. I know it’s rather inexpensive, but I’ve tried other ones that I have been able to pick up for less than $100, and they are much sharper than this lens. However, I will say that I absolutely love this lens. It works perfectly with my Sony Nex F3, I think that’s what camera I have. The sharpness is a bit hazy when you are at f/1.8-2.8, but after that, the image quality has blown me away.

I’ve always been told that getting a prime lens is a game changer and that is the truth this land is a great lane to start with on the cheaper side as well

It is a really cool lens. Extremely sharp and you can see the depth of field in the picture easily.

The 50mm Lens is suppose to be the most versatile lens. This is only true if you have a full frame sensor. If you are using a cropped sensor this shoots closer to an 85mm which requires you to be further back from your subject than you probably want. The bokeh is amazing though & still a fantastic lens

Excellent lens for out of focus shots and videos, I use it for my YouTube videos, I recommend that you have it in your lens collection.

Love this lens. It’s the cheapest Sony lens in the market. This might have a slow focus motor but if you know how to work around it, it’s ni problem at all. Love the photos this lens can make.

I’ve had this lens for a while now and it’s optical quality and focusing are very excellent. An updated model that focuses closer would be a welcome choice. No complaints, does the job.

Bought this Sony FE 50MM lens along with the 28MM as my first two lenses to use with my Sony A7R III. This lens is a great piece of glass for the price; sharp photos, nice bokeh, and very good in low light at F 1.8. Would definitely recommend.

Sharp? Yup. Small and lightweight? Yup. Relatively Inexpensive? Yup. It’s not the quickest focusing or quietest lens for sure, but it does what you’d expect. Highly recommend this instead of a slow zoom if you’re a beginner, and it’s nice to have a small, lightweight 50mm for out and about for more experienced shooters.

Best lens for the price and great for low-light. Might not be the most robust compared to other 50mm of higher price, but it is a solid beginner - intermediate level lens

Nice lens to learn composition and your organic zoom(your feet). Bokeh orbs are basically ovals with points everywhere except the center. Didnt expect this lens to be perfect though. Bought it for the very small size, light weight and practice without a zoom lens. I recommend if you are learning like myself, and want to explore photography without destroying your bank account.

The 50mm focal length is really great for portraits especially with the F1.8. It'll get you those nice and blurry backgrounds, for photo I think the lens is worth the price, it does however tend to hunt for focus a bit and it is a little loud, but it should be fine for photo. i probably wouldn't recommend this for video though.

Excellent item! I got exactly what I expected and hoping for. An adorable, quality, entry level 50mm lens. I have used it quite a bit now and very much prefer it over yet kit lens I got with my camera, to the point that I will use it even when it's less convenient than my variable zoom lens.

Great lens for my Sony A7IV. Portraits or landscape doesn’t matter it does a great job.

This lens is a must have. I was told by a few photographer friends this is a good affordable lens to have. It’s very light in weight and takes great photos. My other lens is great but it’s big and bulky so depending on where I am this lens is easier to handle.
