Really great prime lens. I love the 50mm as it takes pictures the way I see them. Great all around high quality lens that I had been looking for. The zoom lens are OK, but I really like a prime lens and this one delivers super sharp, clear, great contrast pictures. The lens is light weight and opens up to F1.8 for those creamy backgrounds. Don't be fooled in to spending nearly a grand for a Zeiss lens when this one from Sony is just a good. Yes just as good I took pictures with both and returned the Zeiss as it just wasn't any better than the Sony, Buy one you won't be disappointed. I have been taking pictures for 60 years used all kind of gear large format to Minox. Best buy had a open box special on this lens and it is pretty much all I need.

We love this lens for our Sony a6400. It gives you quality portrait photos. It is a closer le se so it is more for up close head/body shots. But the quality of resolution is excellent and makes every picture look professional right out of the box.

Used for my daughters grad pics and its amazing, landscaping pics come out crisp and with high resolution. This lense is a must add to the camera

Great little lens, simple but effective. Zero bells and whistles, but a nice addition for the price.

Best full frame Sony e-mount lense for the price. Fantastic for headshots and a great all around lens.

Expensive for a “nifty fifty” but this lens is great with my a7 iii. Decent autofocus timing and good image equality for street photography. Lightweight but relatively sturdy

Great lens for photo. Vid not great due to lens autofocusing causing a lot of noise. Compared to Zeiss 1.8/55, it's a lot cheaper. For an average photographer that want better aperture, you can't beat the price.

I got myself a new camera with Sony A7ii and since it comes with standard lens i figured to buy this Prime lens with $100 off the price. I was so happy I bought it because it gives me best potrait pictures and you don't have to zoom it to get your main focus.

This lens is very very good put personally I would take the hit and get the 18-105mm which will be way more versatile. But I don’t want my opinion to discredit how great of a lens it is cause it’s a really good lens. I would say bang for buck.

This a great budget lens for general photos and great for portraits. This lens takes good quality pictures and will work great with full frame cameras. Simple to operate. One negative for me was that focus motor is a little to loud for my taste when focusing but other that’s that great lens.

Well I was quite surprised. this lens was much better than what I expected. Especially for the price point ,although it is sony's lowest price lens the Value cannot beat. The pictures turned out better then I have expected this is a must have to put in your bag. it is like weather here doing full frame compact

Great all around lens. Every photographer needs a 50mm, no matter which equipment they use.

The 50mm works as it should. This is a great budget lens.

This lens provides sharp images but has a couple of drawbacks. The auto focus is slow and the motor inside is loud. It still works well for me as my main focus is landscape and automotive photography. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are trying to shoot subjects in motion or using it for video.

Works as intended. Lack of oss means ur hands to be very stiff when capturing photos especially in low light.

I use this to shoot video of the night sky -- stars, etc. Amazing low light capability. I use it in manual focus mode only, so I cannot comment on the auto focus. Video and stills of the night sky are amazing.

Amazing for portrait and street photos I just did a little photo shoot with my family and the pictures are amazing!

Solid lens for the price. This isn't gonna win any awards or knock your socks off, but it's a great budget lens and a solid upgrade from kit lens. For the price it really can't be beat
